Nutrition is a powerful tool to help your athletes support their health, well-being and performance.
Whether you’re after a one-off workshop or a full series, we will tailor the content to suit your group’s goals, age group, and schedule. Workshops can be delivered in person or live online, and are designed to be practical, engaging, and easy to implement in their very next training session. Explore the workshop topics below and let’s build a session (or series!) that works for you.
WORKSHOP 1: “ARE YOU EATING ENOUGH?”
Understanding Energy Needs: Explore the importance of energy intake and how it impacts performance, health, and recovery for young athletes.
This session helps athletes and their parents understand the critical role of energy intake in high-level training. We’ll guide athletes in evaluating their eating habits to identify if they are consuming enough to support performance and health. Attendees will learn how energy needs fluctuate based on training intensity, duration, and frequency, leaving with tools to recognise signs of under-fuelling. You’ll gain a confident understanding of what it takes to fuel a growing body and maintain energy levels throughout the training season, ensuring athletes remain strong and healthy.

WORKSHOP 2: PERFORMANCE FUELLING FOR TRAINING
Optimising Training Fuelling: Learn the specifics of what, when, and how much to eat before, during, and after training sessions to enhance performance.
In this webinar, we’ll discuss what, when, and how much athletes should eat to optimise training and performance progress. We’ll break down the science behind pre-training meals, snacks, and mid-session fuelling and highlight their role in a broader nutrition plan. Key topics include the difference between ‘everyday’ carbs for general needs and ‘performance’ carbs for peak output. Parents and athletes will leave with practical ideas for fuelling around training and resources to inspire meal planning.
WORKSHOP 3: RECOVERY NUTRITION
The 5 R's of Recovery Nutrition: Dive into recovery nutrition by focusing on Refuel, Rebuild, Rehydrate, Revitalise, and Repeat to support long-term athletic health and performance.
Recovery isn’t a one-and-done process! In this session, we’ll explore the crucial role of recovery nutrition in maximising performance and long-term health. Athletes will learn about the 5 R's of Recovery: Refuel, Rebuild, Rehydrate, Revitalise, and Repeat. We’ll discuss how each aspect contributes to optimal performance and why integrating these strategies into their routine is essential. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how to effectively refuel, rebuild muscles, and stay ready for their next training session or competition.


WORKSHOP 4: PERFORMANCE FUELLING FOR COMPETITION
Competition Nutrition Strategies: Discover effective pre-competition fuelling techniques, including what to eat leading up to and on competition day, to ensure optimal performance.
This session focuses on preparing athletes for peak performance during competitions. We’ll explore strategies for pre-event fuelling, from the days before competitions to the morning of the event. You’ll learn techniques for managing nerves and optimising energy levels, ensuring mental clarity throughout competition day. Athletes and parents will walk away with a plan to navigate the unique nutritional demands of race or game day, including what to eat between events and tips for staying focused under pressure.
